CARLTON, HOFFERKAMP AND JENKS PARTNERS WITH WOOD DUCK FARM TO AID FOOD PANTRY

Carlton, Hofferkamp and Jenks (CHJ) Wealth Management partners with local Wood Duck Farm during the Spring growing season to donate farm fresh vegetables and fruits to Angel Reach’s food pantry.

Van Weldon is the owner of the Wood Duck Farm, located in Cleveland, which practices sustainable growing techniques and operates a CSA program through much of the year.

Angel Reach was founded in Conroe as a nonprofit organization by foster and adoptive parents Sandra Carpenter and Deborah Zempel. Their goal is to break the generational cycle of abuse, neglect and homelessness so that the lives of current and former foster youth can be enhanced.

“When our staff volunteered at Angel Reach this past Christmas, they noticed the absence of fresh vegetables and fruits available at the pantry,” said Jim Carlton, managing director and chief investment officer of CHJ Wealth Management. “We thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to partner with a local farm with an established CSA program to help us donate farm fresh food to Angel Reach. We hope this is the beginning of our three small organizations joining together to make a big impact in our community, this is the essence of our Cares Program. I am proud this is the inaugural partnership with our community.”

The CHJ Cares Program is a year-round giving program dedicated to making positive and meaningful contributions throughout the community. Visit chjwealthmanagement.com for more information about The Carlton, Hofferkamp and Jenks Cares Program, Angel Reach and Wood Duck Farm.

CONROE NORTH-HOUSTON AIRPORT RECEIVES TXDOT AWARD

Conroe North-Houston Airport, located 10 minutes from Grand Central Park, has been named General Aviation Reliever Airport of the Year for 2016, good news for those considering the Conroe master-planned community for a new home or a future new office location. Grand Central Park is located at Loop 336 and I-45 in Conroe.

Presented by the Texas Department of Transportation, the award is a major step toward cementing the airport as a nearby convenience for future residents and businesses considering Grand Central Park for a corporate headquarters, campus setting or other office use, says Shannon League, , Director of Marketing for the 2,046-acre property. “Our proximity to two airports is a major selling point for companies looking at Grand Central Park,” says League. “It’s also a big plus for home buyers.”

Grand Central Park Conroe North-Houston Regional Airport services 62,000 annual flight operations, including 2,500 jet operations annually. Its soon-to-open U.S. Customs and Border Protection Facility will serve as the northernmost customs clearing facility in the greater Houston area, another positive for corporations looking to relocate operations to the area. Moreover, the new facility will enable international flights to take off and land directly at the airport, eliminating extra stops at Houston Hobby or George Bush Intercontinental Airports.

The newest master-planned community by The Johnson Development Corp., Grand Central Park is being developed to create a walkable, mixed-use, master-planned community amidst a forest preserve where corporate campuses, hotel and conference center, restaurants, retail and new luxury homes come together to create a distinct, urban feel.

Coventry Homes, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Perry Homes and Village Builders will add new patio homes, villa-style homes, townhomes and single-family homes in Grand Central Park’s West Village at the northwest corner of the master-planned community where residents will enjoy immediate access to Loop 336 and I-45.
